Turkey Hill is located on Turkey Hill Road just off of Rt. 301, midway between White Plains and La Plata.

Purpose of this event:

This family-oriented event’s primary objective is to increase funding support of animal welfare in the community. The Humane Society also hopes to raise awareness of the programs and services we provide. Pets play an increasing role in our lives and we encourage families to celebrate that relationship by enjoying this day with the entire family in the park. Our ultimate goal includes protecting animals from suffering and to promote a life-long commitment to animal welfare and dignity. By nurturing the special bond between humans and animals, we can accomplish this goal.

Start now and get ready for the Walk for the Animals Parade:

** Collect sponsorship pledges from everyone you know. You must have a minimum pledge of $20.00 to participate in the Walk for the Animals Parade.

A sampling of what your pledges pay for at HSCC:

·         $20 will feed a litter of five infant kittens for a week

·         $30 will buy two 50lb. bags of quality dog food or four 25lb. bags of cat food

·         $50 will cover the cost of spaying or neutering of a dog or cat before adoption

·         $75 will cover our utility bills for 1 1/2 days

·         $100 will cover the cost of vaccines, heartworm, or leukemia testing and micro-chipping as well as spaying and neutering before adoption

Prizes will be awarded to those bringing in the most money! In order to be eligible for these prizes, pledges must be received by noon on the day of the parade.

** Turn in $50.00 or more in pledges and you will receive a free Bark in the Park T-Shirt.
