The Humane Society had only 25 members, less than $100 dollars when we began in 1978. We started out with dog houses behind the old Ice Plant on route 5. Eventually we added dog runs top the back of the building. In the early 1980's we moved to our current location on Industrial Park Drive in St. Charles
