Humane Society Reduced Cost Spay and Neuter Program

Potential Extra Charges     Other Available Services     Spay/Neuter Help for Incomes Under $45,000

Spay or neuter! Anyone can participate in our spay/neuter program by having the surgery done at the Humane Society Spay/Neuter Clinic. Our spay/neuter program is designed to reduce some of the costs involved in spaying or neutering pets greater than 4 months of age. This Humane Society service is provided by appointment on the shelter premises at 71 Industrial Park Drive in Waldorf, MD. Assistance for those with incomes below $45,000 is available upon proof of income. Below is some additional information:

additional charges may be required:

  • Dogs - Pregnant - $20 to $30
  • Dogs - In heat - $20
  • Dogs - Cryptorchid $15 - $25
  • Cats - Pregnant - $10 to $20
  • Cats - In heat - $10.00
  • Cats - Cryptorchid - $10 to $20
  • For all pets, Proof of rabies required at time of surgery - Rabies vaccine fee $12.00

  • Drontal de-wormer (2 doses)- DOGS: $ 24 -up to 30#; $36 - 31# to 44#; $48 - 45# to 60#
  • Frontline - de-flea/de-tick 1 application - cats $13, 1 application - dogs $15 to $18
You can also purchase flea and heart treatments (please call for prices):
  • FRONTLINE plus 3 month supply FOR DOGS
  • FRONTLINE plus 3 month supply for CATS
  • Heartgard plus 6 month supply for DOGS
  • Please note that Heartgard + can be dispensed only if your dog is tested for heartworms at HSCC & the test is negative.
