11 Ways To Help Us Help The Animals

The animals can sure use your help.

There are more ways than what we list here to help, but take a quick look through these. You'll find its not as hard as you thought:

• Schedule a speaker from the shelter to talk to your clubs, lunch forums, neighborhood groups, religious gatherings, or scout groups.
• Place donation canisters wherever you do business (or pleasure), such as your office, grocery store, dry cleaners, bar, restaurant, or gym. Almost any place will work.
• Volunteer time to walk dogs, play with the cats, man an exhibit, bathe puppies, or spearhead a special project or event. You could serve in any of our volunteer programs.
• Help coordinate fundraising events, like bake sales, fun days, bingo nights, or the Christmas bazaar.
• Post fliers about our services or events at your apartment complex, neighborhood center, office or club.
• Offer to drive your neighbor's unspayed pet to a low cost clinic (we'll help find one) or to a rabies clinic, held periodically at the shelter.
• If your company, church, school, sorority, fraternity, or club donates to charities, add us to the receiving list.
• Let people know that the Humane Society of Charles County can be a designated charity during the United Way Campaign.
• Donate cash (always extremely useful)
• If your company matches employee donations to charities, put us on their list
• Ask your company to donate a product or service
